This Legal Studies for the Paralegal program, designed in cooperation with the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, prepares students for careers in the paralegal 职业. 学生 develop a basic legal vocabulary and gain an understanding of Missouri statutes and cases and pretrial and trial proceedings. They study concepts of real and personal property and business 组织 and develop skills in interviewing and counseling clients, writing legal resume, analyzing legal problems and drafting/preparing legal documents.
The recommended academic plan blends general education requirements with options for areas of concentration to ensure students get the most out of their certificate or 学位.

In addition, paralegals can choose between other paralegal-related occupations such as claims adjusters, appraisers, examiners, investigators, court clerks and real estate management.
